Airline passenger traffic at Ontario International Airport (ONT) increased 8.2 percent in August 2017 compared with the same month in 2016. In August 2017,
the airport served a total of 387,351 passengers compared with 357,854 in August 2016.
Domestic passenger traffic in August 2017 totaled 375,109, an increase of 8.8 percent from 344,676 in the same month the previous year. International passenger
traffic dipped 7.1 percent from 13,178 in August 2016 to 12,242 in August 2017.
In the first eight months 2017, domestic passenger traffic increased 7.1 percent from 2,664,459 in 2016 to 2,854,562 in 2017. International passenger traffic
increased 3.7 percent in the eight-month period from 94,036 in 2016 to 97,472 in 2017. Overall, passenger traffic in the eight-month period increased 7 percent
from 2,758,495 in 2016 to 2,952,034 in 2017.

The Marketing Team was pleased to join OIAA and Travelers Aid staff at Ontario Airport last Tuesday to kick off our new 15-minute
Route 61 service to the airport. Both returning travelers and airport staff were pleased to hear about the enhanced service, and
several took immediate advantage of the convenient route. As you know, advertising is in place and will continue through the month;
staff also will be participating in upcoming airport employee meetings. Special thanks to Supervisor Curt Hagman for attending and visiting with Buster!
Token Transit Update - As of 9/5 we went over 1,000 mobile fare purchases, generating over $10,000 in fare revenue. Sales are still trending upward.
The Rail Department is currently recruiting for a Rail Operations Analyst Intern. This position will be temporary and part-time working under
the Director of Rail Operations performing a variety of highly responsible and complex administrative functions. The selected intern will assist
in managing official Agency records, provide administrative support for various on-going tasks and programs including special projects specific

Special Transit Services Staff attended the City of Rialto Senior Health and Wellness Expo on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
Staff discussed Omnitrans Programs (Bus, Paratransit, Travel Training, Volunteer Driver Reimbursement, Taxi and Lyft) with approximately
50 expo attendees.
EV SCE Power Shutdown/New CNG Plant - SCE will be doing a power shutdown at East Valley next Friday 9/15/17 from 10am – 2pm to tie in the
electric service for the new CNG plant and facility. Maintenance will meet next week to discuss the shutdown and what contingencies will
be needed to support operations during the outage.
The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) attended a second 4 hour workshop facilitated by Insight Strategies President and Managing Partner,
Terri Fisher, on leadership competencies and the candidate selection process. This is part of curriculum development for the “Leadership Program”
that will be tailored to Omnitrans by the SLT and focus on leadership and succession opportunities.
